Volapalooza 2018 will have some of the best food trucks in the area! Check out our vendor participants below and get excited to see them at Thompson-Boling Arena on April 27!

Food Trucks

CJ’s Tacos

Not only do we have the best taco shells around, we also have the freshest ingredients in town! CJ’s Tacos has an arrangement with the Fresh Market in Knoxville. All of our meat is choice grade, provided locally. We feel that staying local and fresh is more important than making more profits! We also hand cut all of our fresh vegetables daily.

Gelato Brothers

Gelato Brother’s Italian gelato, made-from-scratch waffle cones, hand-pulled espresso, premium lattes, and fresh organic brews (iced & hot!) will the #MySweetAddiction at this year’s Volapalooza! Follow us on Instagram throughout the day for fun updates: @GelatoBrothers

Bananagans

Bananagans is up to some shenanigans on the streets of Knoxville. This food truck has locals simply going bananas, because of their simply sweet offering: the frozen chocolate covered banana. That’s it, but it’s so much more than that. Because Bananagans has taken that well beloved frozen treat and elevated it to a whole new level of delicious, making each a customizable experience to tantalize the tastebuds.

Chicken Coop

The Chicken Coop takes all of Knoxville under its wing, offering up Southern comfort the one way it knows how: fried chicken. But the South’s got a whole lot more to it than just fried chicken, and no food truck serves up “Southern with Sass” quite like the ‘coop.

Meatball Madness and More

On a mission to serve delicious street cuisine to their friendly community, Meatball Madness and More is knocking on Knoxville’s door! Their menu features an incredibly tasty selection of sliders and tacos, stuffed with hearty, flavorful meatballs.

Specialty Vendors

From stickers to prints to apparel, there will be a wide range of products to bring home from the festival. We want to remind attendees to bring money (cash and card), so that they are able to shop at these vendors!

Paris Woodhull Illustrations

Paris Woodhull Illustrations is a line of apparel with a purpose, quirky paper goods, and city maps. All of the product is hand drawn and then lovingly created into prints. Paris is also a Knoxville native and recent graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BFA in studio art.

Vagabondary

The Vagabondary Bus is a traveling shop based out of a 1978 Volkswagen Transporter bus. Filled with curiosities ranging from a curated collection of vintage clothes, to original art and graphic apparel, to one-of-a-kind upcycled wearable art, the Vagabondary Bus is more than a store. It’s an experience.

Surf Tennessee

Surf Tennessee is an original t-shirt and accessories company. Designed for those who get out and seek the uncommon tri-star life.

Flourish Flower Truck

Flourish Flower Truck is Knoxville’s very own mobile flower shop started by UT alum Savannah Pannell. With her flowers, she hopes to provide opportunities for people to love themselves and those around them. At Volapalooza, Savannah will be selling her very own handmade flower crowns.

Hair Braiding

Who doesn’t love getting their hair braided? Students from the Aveda Institute will be on-site and ready to give you any type of braid that you can think of. No need to give yourself a cute festival braid before coming to Volapalooza– we’ve got you covered!

Henna Tattoos

Jennifer White is an incredible and experienced henna artist from our area. Sit down and relax while her and her team give you a beautiful henna tattoo. And the best part–

It’s FREE!

 DIY Beaded Bracelet Station

Come and chill at our DIY bead bracelet station. We’ll have everything you need to make the perfect bracelet to remember your time at Volapalooza 2018.

Flow Performance

See flow performances by UT’s very own Flow Club!

WHAT IS FLOW?: Flow, also known as Zone, is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity.

Art Corner

We’re excited to introduce our first ever installation of student art! There are few places where students get to display their work and have tons of people actually see it, we can’t wait!

Microsoft Tiny House

Mircrosoft will be providing one of the coolest hang areas in Volapalooza history! You won’t want to miss a chance to chill out in this tiny house!

In addition to working with our participating food trucks to make Volapalooza a zero-waste event like we usually do, Volapalooza is taking several more steps this year to make our event even more sustainable. We have partnered with UT Recycling to provide an on-site water refilling station and supply free refillable water bottles to our audience (while supply lasts). To cut down on waste, we are encouraging people to bring their own refillable water bottles, plan to use the bottles that we are handing out, or use the water fountain feature on the refilling station. Bottled water will not be available for purchase.

We are also partnering with Red Bull to encourage recycling in some really cool ways. We will be starting up our “Can for a Can” recycling initiative in collaboration with UT Recycling and Red Bull, which will be kicked off on Friday, April 20 and continue throughout the week at all ticketing locations during April 23-26. Students can recycle any aluminum can for a cold Red Bull in return and get entered to win an artist meet & greet. Any Red Bull cans that are recycled with us will be used by a local Knoxville artist, Preston Farabow, to make a sculpture on-site at Volapalooza this year. We’re excited to see what he creates!

From exciting giveaways to interactive, onsite activities, our partners have played a huge part in making Volapalooza the place to be on April 27th. Get excited for what our awesome sponsors have planned for Volapalooza 2018!
