What is Volapalooza?

Volapalooza is an annual concert coordinated by the Entertainment Committee of the Campus Events Board and the University of Tennessee. It is the largest, most successful student-run event on campus. It will be held this year on April 26, 2019—the last day of spring semester classes—to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of commencement ceremonies for graduating seniors. In part, Volapalooza’s success depends on the support we receive from local, regional, and national sponsors.

Who goes to Volapalooza?

The audience typically consists of 18- to 24-year-old students and a wider general admission audience from the Knoxville community. Past performers have included Portugal. The Man, Moon Taxi, Niykee Heaton, Lupe Fiasco, Fitz and the Tantrums, Ziggy Marley, Big Gigantic, Three 6 Mafia, Girl Talk, Flogging Molly, Passion Pit, CAKE, and many more. Over the past three years 25,000 guests have attended Volapalooza.
