What is the VOLAnteer program?

Volapalooza’s VOLAnteer program is a group created by UT students for UT students that aims to staff Volapalooza with excited student volunteers. While completing volunteer hours, VOLAnteers have the chance to make new friends and see what happens behind the scenes of a music festival. They also receive special perks and prizes, and free admission to the festival!

What do VOLAnteers do?

VOLAnteers are the backbone of Volapalooza and without them, the festival would not be possible. They support the festival staff, attendees, and sponsors to ensure everyone has a safe and exciting festival experience. VOLAnteer jobs include anything from monitoring crowds, to guiding festival goers, to helping with festival advertisement. It’s all based on your preferences listed on the VOLAnteer form, so your experience is up to you!

What’s in it for me?

All VOLAnteers will receive a special edition VOLAnteer t-shirt, free festival admission, and other special items! VOLAnteers also get to go “behind-the-scenes” and access special event areas not open to the general public. Because of this, being a VOLAnteer is a great way to learn more about event planning and music festivals! (Also, depending on the organization, you may be eligible for service hours too!!) So, how do I sign up?

Applications just opened for 2019. You can find the form right here! If accepted into the VOLAnteer program, Volapalooza staff will contact you by email and get you set up with a training session. Thank you for your interest!
